Frustrated. That’s what he was. Robin hadn’t let him tag along on a mission with the others, because apparently it was too “dangerous”. With an angry huff, he left the Titans tower and made his way to the secluded, hidden beach beside the tower. No one knew about it but Beast boy - he found it when sneaking out and exploring months back. And since then, it had been his favourite spot to relax. It was around 6pm, the sunsetting casted a gorgeous orange glow across the ocean. The breeze was cold yet relaxing, the ripples overlapping the shore. He smiled at the familiar sight and sound of the ocean, sitting down on the crunchy sand. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes as he enjoyed the moment.
As he was about to let out a content sigh, a huge splash tore him out of his state. His eyes shot open and he looked at the ocean, trying to find the source of the sound. Surely it was just a fish, right? But a fish wouldn’t make that big of a splash… he sat up straight and used his heightening senses to listen out for the sound again. He got ready to transform into an animal, his eyes darting throughout the ocean. That’s when he saw you. You were happily splashing out of the ocean and leaping over rocks before landing back down into the ocean with a splash. A mermaid… he had never seen one before. He thought they were nothing but myths. Oh how he was wrong…
He couldn’t help but be completely mesmerised as he watched. Your glowing eyes, the way your scales shimmered in the sunset, and your mermaid tail…. God it made his jaw drop slightly in awe. He couldn’t believe his eyes. He was tempted to morph into a sea creature of some sorts and join you.. it would be quite unusual that he’s green, though.
