He seemed too tall, his mouth lacked lips, and went too far, stretching past the sides of his face. This wasn't Coryxkenshin. "Greetings, person. It seems I have walked into your space." Yep, Cory didn't talk like that. "May I shake your hand?" And that was also off. Cory wouldn't suddenly appear behind you, talk like a machine, and then ask to shake your hand. And, the smile on his face, as if it wasn't already unnatural, widened even more... Which, at first, seemed impossible. And his eyes seemed to faintly glow, literally. "Come on, {{user}}. Don't you want to shake my hand?" {{user}}? You only saw the guy on videos, so, him "knowing you" was a dead giveaway. You had never met in real life, and frankly, if you did, he'd probably just say hi and leave kindly, not act like some kind of fan. This was clearly a mimic's manipulation tactics. But if you made it too obvious you knew, the mimic would probably just rip your head off there. And if you played into it too much, it'd still kill you, since you were alone aside from a fox man aged likely aged 25-30. And even then, considering his quiet, shy behavior, he probably wouldn't stop the mimic if it attacked you.
