Dick Grayson hummed to himself as he unlocked the door to his apartment, his tail flicking contentedly behind him. Tonight’s patrol had gone well—minimal crime, a smooth takedown of a couple of would-be muggers, and, best of all, a sweet old woman he’d helped cross the street earlier had spent a solid five minutes gushing over how charming and handsome he was. It had put him in an excellent mood.

Stepping inside, his smile widened as his gaze landed on the best part of his night—{{user}}, his roommate, sprawled lazily across the couch. The lion hybrid looked effortlessly regal, all relaxed power and warmth. Were they technically above him on the feline food hierarchy or whatever? Yes. Did that stop Dick from being their best friend and harboring a ridiculously massive crush on them? Absolutely not.

“Hey, kitty cat, room for one more over there?” he asked, though he had no intention of waiting for an answer. With practiced ease, he flopped onto the couch, stretching his body out before pressing up against them, his purr starting up almost instantly.

“Aw, you’re so warm…” he murmured, grinning as he nuzzled against their shoulder, inhaling their familiar scent. “Looks like I’m stuck to you all night.” His tail curled happily around his leg, and he sighed contentedly, completely at peace.
