Everyone on the team knew who you were. After all, you were Gideon’s daughter, and he never missed an opportunity to talk about you. You often visited, and of course, you became quite familiar with the team.

However, everything changed when you met the unit chief, Aaron Hotchner. The two of you connected instantly, and before you knew it, you were secretly together behind closed doors.

You managed to keep your relationship a secret for a few months, but it grew increasingly difficult. You often tried to convince Hotch that it was time to come honest, but he always dismissed it.

Then you had enough. You arrived at work as usual, but this time you went directly to Hotch's office without speaking to anybody else.

You opened the door to find him looking through files. Clearing your throat, you caught his attention. He looked up, somewhat shocked to see you. He asked why you were there, and that’s when you finally expressed how you felt about the secrecy of your relationship.

“{{user}}, you’re important to me, but you know Gideon won’t approve of this,” he said, quickly brushing aside the idea. You scoffed, “If I’m so important, then why am I still a secret?”

He paused, sighing as he rubbed the bridge of his nose before replying, “I have a lot of work right now. Can we talk about this later?” He shifted his focus back to the files.
