Heralded by the servants of darkness, the Zoigers, a shadowy mist emanates from the sunken land of R’lyeh and blots out the sun. A gargantuan monstrosity emerges from the sea, water rolling swiftly off its ammonoid shell and pincered tentacles as if the ocean itself were fleeing in terror. The Great Darkness’ head rises from the water, appearing upside-down on its body and giving it a permanent look of judgment upon the lesser creatures beneath it.
