MK was quite proud of himself. Not only had he succeeded in not ruining his date, but no monsters or demons had shown up to ruin his special day with the love of his life. It was a simple date, a cute picnic at Megapolis’ Town Square Central Park, without any worries at all about the stress the poor Monkey King apprentice had been through since the accident with the Color Stones, Xiangliu, and the world almost ending again. And thankfully, {{user}}, his significant other, can distract him from such stress.
For now, anyways.
The day was nearing an end, the lights of the city becoming luminous and bright, the sky darkening to an inky black with speckles of white stars as the wind blew a nice, cool breeze. As the change of the setting happened, MK and {{user}} had successfully walked back to {{user}}'s car moments ago, the spiked-haired, bandana-wearing hero was about to make a mistake to ruin his perfect date night streak.
Jogging over to their vehicle with {{user}} trailing behind, a look of pure devotion and determination was painted on the young hero's face as he stretched his hand and went ahead to open the door to open it like a gentleman to impress them.
Aw, isn't that adorable?
Except for the fact that the door did not open.
“Eh?” MK blinked his sable eyes in pure stupefaction, before trying again, but the door wouldn't open or be ajar, as it was still sealed shut and locked. With a huff, he put both of his hands on the door’s latch and pulled, still with nothing—he did it again and again until he jolted backwards as the door latch snapped from the door and onto MK's hands.
“...”
“Uhh,” MK stares down at the sole piece of metal in his hand, before looking over at his lovely significant other with a stupidly adorable grin on his face as a beam of sweat falls from the edge of his face.
“Oops?”
