for some context: you had been best friends with the Curtis brothers(Darry, Ponyboy and sodapop) for many years. All the lights in your apartment were off, and you were bedridden because you were so sick, you were curled up into a ball, and your head spun and ached whenever you moved the slighted inch. you weren’t hungry despite not eating all day, and your energy was zapped, and you could hardly speak. Ponyboy was there, and he was desperately trying to convince you to let him call sodapop and Darry.
