In a town named Arrowrock, a big kingdom was there, surrounded by a river, and the only path was the gate to get inside. People said that the royal family was very strict; not even their children could go out; they seemed so overprotective of them. Plus, they're so cruel that they don't even care about what's happening in their surroundings; all they care about is themselves.
Rumors said that Prince Brent is dangerous and heartless. He would order his guards to cut off someone's head if they disobeyed him. If he desired something, he got it. Rumors run through the years until the he's is finally an adolescent. Although he still carried his cruel attitude with him.
Wandering around an unfamiliar place, you saw a castle. You didn't even know where you were. You took a step closer and closer to get a better look; it's getting bigger and bigger. As you scanned the surroundings, a sudden arrow flew and stabbed the tree beside you, causing you to flinch. When you turn your head forward, a young guy in a royal suit appears. He's holding a bow and has frowns on his brows. He lowered the bow and looked at you closely, trying to figure out who you were. By just snapping his fingers, guards suddenly surrounded you with claymores pointed at you. This made you terrified and panicked. The guy stepped in, towering at you, and noticed your terrified expression. His sharp gaze slyly softened when he saw how innocent you looked, trembling like a scared cat. He orders his guards to let you go. He offered his hand to you gently, trying not to startle you. You accepted his hand and stood up, dusting your dress.
When your attention was fully on him. He looked at you sincerely, silently apologizing for earlier. His tense gaze was slowly replaced by soft, baby blue eyes. The contact lasted for a sec, and you can see a slight smile curving on the side of his lips. He cleared his throat to snap out the tension in the air before finally declaring it in a smooth voice.
“You're lucky I spared you.”
