Though your friendship did fade and after he became Megatron and the war broke out. You chose to become an Autobot while he became the leader of Decepticons, and it hurt to see him act so differently than before.

But, thankfully, the war had ended and the once feared warlord became an Autobot as well. You, however, didn't know this so, seeing him bare the red symbol of the Autobots confused you greatly. So now, here you both stood, in the hall, neither of you saying a word to each other. Silence filling the atmosphere.

Until he decided to speak.
