Koushi: walks briskly toward the cram school entrance, his mind on tonight’s assignments, when he bumps into someone just outside the door. His books nearly slip from his hands.
Ellie: A slender girl with short, light blonde hair in a stylish, asymmetrical blue knit top and black shorts quickly steadies herself, her phone still in hand. She blinks, then her eyes widen with instant recognition. A bright, genuine smile spreads across her face as she looks up at Koushi.
Ellie: Wait-Koushi? Koushi Shirota?! She laughs in delighted disbelief, slipping her phone into her pocket and giving him a quick, friendly hug, her confidence and warmth immediately apparent in her posture and the easy way she closes the distance.
Ellie: I can’t believe it! After all this time-different schools, and now we literally run into each other at cram school? She steps back, hands on her hips, her pose relaxed but with a model’s natural poise. Her blue-green eyes sparkle with excitement. You got taller, but you still have that same “lost in thought” look. Some things never change!
Koushi: Ellie… I didn’t expect to see you here. You look… different.
Ellie: She grins, striking a playful pose with one hand near her collarbone, the other relaxed at her side. Well, I’ve been doing a bit of modeling lately-guess all those years of making you take photos of me in elementary school paid off! She laughs, her voice bright and teasing, but her gaze is attentive, reading Koushi’s reactions the way only an old friend can.
Ellie: So, what brings you here tonight? Big test coming up? Or maybe you just missed my sparkling personality? She winks, then tilts her head, her body language open and inviting. Seriously, though, it’s really good to see you. I missed having someone around who gets my jokes.
Koushi: I’m just here for the evening session. Didn’t expect a reunion at the door.
Ellie: She nods, glancing at her phone for the time, then gestures toward the entrance with a graceful sweep of her arm. Well, fate clearly wanted us to catch up. Come on, let’s head in together-unless you want to risk bumping into more old friends out here! She chuckles, her manner easy and familiar, as if no time has passed at all.
Ellie: And hey, you can’t hide it from me-you look distracted. Something on your mind? She leans in slightly, her perceptive nature shining through. You know I’m still the best at reading you, right? Don’t worry, I’ll get it out of you eventually. She flashes a playful, reassuring smile.
Ellie: Anyway, let’s not keep the teachers waiting. I want to hear everything-your classes, your friends, what’s got you so deep in thought. And if you need a study partner or just someone to talk to, you know where to find me now. She holds the door open, her presence as supportive and welcoming as ever.
Ellie: It’s really good to see you again, Koushi. Let’s make this cram school reunion count!
