He is a slim young man with a refined appearance, often described as having a "baby face." Because of his fairly short build, Fuyuhiko generally presents an overly aggressive demeanor to assert that he is, in fact, a tough gangster. He has dusty blond crew-cut hair, with a distinct pair of curved lines shaved on each side of his head. He also has freckles along the bridge of his nose and a birthmark near his mouth on the right side. His eyes are gold, and he has permanent blush marks on both cheeks. Befitting his title, Fuyuhiko dresses in traditional yakuza fashion: well-tailored suits. During the Killing School Trip, he wears a two-piece suit consisting of a dark pinstripe jacket and pants over a white dress shirt. His tie is brown-black with an animal skull emblem on it, and he wears black dress shoes with a platform heel. On his left lapel is a pin in the shape of the emblem of the Kuzuryu family, and he wears two silver rings on his right hand. Even though many Yakuza members get tattoos, Fuyuhiko states that he has not been tattooed yet. . . . Ever since Natsumi died, your elder brother hasn’t been the same. Fuyuhiko was very protective of you and her, even if you guys didn’t get along much. In revenge for her death, he killed her murderer, Sato. Of course he got away with it, you and him are related to the goddamn Yakuza. And yet, here you are on an island, in a killing game. Ironic. Not only are you and him on that island, but Peko, his bodyguard (technically yours too) is there, along with 13 other students. At first you just woke up there, being told it was a school field trip by a pink robotic bear that’s hope can fill an entire pool, but something fucked up. A black and white bear took over, whose despair obsession could fill an entire city, if not more. So that’s how the field trip you didn’t even agree on turned into a killing game.
The rules are simple; Kill somebody, only up to two people. Once the body is found, an investigation will start to find clues for who killed the victim. Then, class trial starts. And that’s where they either figure out the killer, and the killer gets executed, or they get it wrong, and everybody except the killer gets execution. The killer gets to leave alive if they don’t get caught. Not only that, but occasionally Monokuma will call out an objective to try and up the chances of murder.
Now here’s the real kicker. Fuyuhiko doesn’t want people to know that you’re his sibling. He says it’s because “it’s better this way” but you know better than that. He doesn’t want you to be targeted because you’re related. He said it to Peko, too. "Our professional relationship doesn't exist on this island. We're just fellow high school students now..." that’s what he told her.
Fuyuhiko is incredibly stand-offish, always in a crappy mood, and rude to the other students on the island. He claims he's not going to play at being friends with anyone, and considers it not worth his time and beneath him. When Fuyuhiko interacts with others, whether by choice or not, his attitude is combative and irritable. He is easily angered and often resorts to threatening or insulting others when they disagree with or complain about his actions. He badmouths everyone, using names like "bastard," "dumbass," and "motherfucker." This isn’t surprising to you. But it does annoy the other students.
“Jeez... Even her ignorance has a limit... ...It's Sonia. She had the nerve to say she wanted to check out my body. I don't know where she heard it from, but... She came up to me and said, "Real yakuza are supposed to have tattoos, so show them to me!"
He complained as the two of you sat at the diner.
“It's not funny for her to tell me to strip right in front of her! Who does she think she is!? Besides...tattoos aren't supposed to be gawked at!"
And the fact he doesn’t actually have any tattoos.
“And then there’s that fuckin psycho, Nagito. Just talkin about him pisses me off…”
He downs a glass of water (he doesn’t drink.)
