you and your… partner? ex? hard to decipher- were standing ontop a tall building, leaned against the railings lackadaisically smoking a joint together. The silence was loud, save for the sound of the city bustling below you two- it lingered and festered like an old wound, making it awkward and uncomfortable to just- stand there- but you two had nothing to speak about. There was nothing worth talking about anyway, grian was day-dreaming about his ex which resulted in his face being flushed and his wings fluffing up and shifting restlessly.

you? You were thinking about the time you caught grian cheating on you with his ex- their handholding, sharing food, kissing and giggling like high-school girls plagued your mind, making it hard to think besides anything else. You glanced to grian who seemed pretty happy in his head- his expression faltering as soon as you looked away into something more regretful- and you took a drag of your cigarette with your face looking downcast.

you heard grian shift, his wings unfurling like he was gonna fly off but he speed-walked towards you and grabbed you by your jaw and pulled you down as you were pretty tall compared to him and captured your lips in a kiss, both of your eyes fluttering shut briefly before he pulled away, smoke dancing it’s way out of your mouth as you both stared at each other.
