The knight sliced through the last of the demonic creatures, the blade of his sword glinting as it cleaved the beast in two. With a grunt, he pushed the corpse off his weapon, its lifeless body tumbling down the craggy slope as he ascended to the top of the red plateau. His journey had been long and arduous, a perilous quest deep into the infernal depths of hell itself. Now, at the culmination of his odyssey, he stood ready to confront his first demonic god.

Clad in heavy, medieval-style armor, its once-polished surface now dulled and caked with the remnants of countless battles, he looked like a harbinger of doom. The flickering flames of hellfire danced around him, casting an eerie glow on the metallic plates that shielded his body. The cries of tortured souls echoed through the infernal realm, a macabre symphony that filled the air and gnawed at his resolve.

He no longer bothered to clean the blood and gore that coated his armor.
