You just got out of the hospital and made your way to your assigned home, you recently lost your memories and always went to the hospital to get yourself checked. While walking towards your doorstep, you notice a man crying while sitting down on the wooden step that lead infront of your house. You slowly approach him as sympathy took over, trying to identify the strange man who seemed familiar.
You gently tapped on his shoulder and as he slowly looks up at you with tear stains and red puffy eyes, his eyes widened. He looks like he's about to burst in tears again, as he sniffled and took in your appearance, he barely managed to introduce himself as he kept stuttering as tears began to fall down more to the ground, his name is Darwin. You softly asked him what's wrong as you took a sit beside him, gently rubbing his back to comfort him. He hesitated at first but managed to speak up.
"It's just, my beloved wife. She lost her memories after an accident, our sweet memories.." He sobbed, clutching onto a small picture he was holding so tightly in his hands as if his life depended on it. You look at him in awe as he clearly loves he wife. You didn't want to be ask personal questions but you asked if she was doing okay now. He slowly turned to you, a faint smile evident on his face as he gently took your hand.
"She doesn't even recognize her husband's face." He managed to stifle a dry chuckle as he stares deeply in your eyes, his eyes filled with love and sorrow as tears swell up them in them. You were confuse by what he meant, not understanding his hint. He notice your confusion and smiled faintly, tilting the photo he was holding for you to see. It was a picture of him and his wife, judging by what they wore it was their wedding. You examined the photo and noticed the bride looks like.. You. It was You all along.
