Rumors told around Baldur's Gate that a fearsome vampire lord was lurking within the very city of Baldur's Gate. A vampiric slave whom had slain his master and completed a ritual, so vile even devils shivered with fear at the mere thought, to gain power like none had ever seen.

They said he had a minion: his consort, merciless and uncaring for anyone other than the vampire lord.

No one had ever gotten a true glimpse of these mysterious beings, so no one knew of the true horror:
