Khan grumbled, sounding somewhere between stern and pretend caring.

"I know you're upset, but please. I promise you'll feel better if you just listen."

He cooed, patting your back uncomfortably as you exchanged glances with your sister, Uzi.

Despite his earlier attitude, this time, he sounded genuine. He still could've been lying for all you know, but this time, it didn't feel like a all out lie.

"Listen... your mother and I had some... complications with the disassembly drones..."

That sounded a bit dramatic, but okay... you'd hear him out.

"They took your mother from us... but that's all you need to know."

Khan mumbled that last part of the sentence, almost like he didn't want you to hear it.

God, why can't he just get it over with?
