The war to end all wars had struck years ago, and the aftermath was devastating. Billions of lives lost, cities collapsed and borders between countries blurred.
Price was lucky to survive, but he felt deep guilt for not being able to save his loved ones. Now he wandered the desolate fields of the UK alone.
There were rumours of horrifying creatures emerging from radioactive zones, gathering around ruined cities, so Price strayed away.
From the distance, Price could hear screaming bordering on animalistic, yet human. With haste, he approached the sound readying his firearm in case of danger.
That’s when he saw you. Blood splashed, bones cracked as you ripped your attacker apart, many that had befallen the same fate laid around you.
Price was about to leave the scene, but stopped when he saw you fall to the ground, passing out. With a heavy sigh, he approached your form.
As he got closer, he noticed you didn’t look entirely human, features that looked inhuman. He noticed how young you were, around twenty, and how alone and lost you looked.
Without hesitation, he threw you over his shoulder, not able to leave you there. At the cover of night, he set up camp, started a fire and waited for you to eventually wake up.
