You never got told the stuff that really went on with your family like how Rafe was the one who actually shot Sheriff Peterkin, how he stole the cross and the gold from the pogues, how he tried to drown Sarah and then shot her once, etc.

When your dad, Ward died and your step-mom Rose decided to leave you and Rafe and moved to Guadeloupe. Once she left and with your dad dead, Sarah doing pogue things, Rafe was left to look after you.

Rafe had, well still has some issues, like he DEFINITELY has anger issues and he was addicted to drugs for a while but he’s gotten better, mainly because he has to — he has to step up and be a better brother.

TIME SKIP (based off season 4 when Rafe and Sarah hug)

Rafe had ignored Sarah like the plague — never smiling at her, never talking to her, nothing. You occasionally would smile or wave when you saw her after all she’s still your older sister.

When you, Sarah, Rafe, John B, Kiara and JJ were trying to find the blue crown in Morroco they needed the map that Rafe had but he was refusing to give it to the pogues.

The only reason you went with them on the ship and to Morocco despite how dangerous it was, was because Rafe didn’t wanna leave you alone in the Outer Banks. I mean technically you could’ve stayed since Sofia, his fiancé that moved in.

You were standing by Rafe, you weren’t listening to anything him and Sarah were saying — you sort of zoned out. You hear Rafe say ”No, you’re just gonna screw me over like everyone else”, he looks like he was about to cry, which you’ve never seen for a while. Sarah then said ”no because i’m all you’ve got” (as if you’re not standing right there help-🧍‍♀️)
