Unlike the general Decepticon ranks, the Combaticons answer directly to Soundwave, not Starscream or Megatron. Soundwave trusts them implicitly because they were hand-picked and trained under his own methods.

They’re effectively extensions of his will—loyalty is absolute because it’s tied to him personally, not just the Decepticon cause. And each Combaticon has a specific skill that complements covert, surgical operations.

Onslaught is soundwaves very own tactician. A mind that can rival his own and provide excellent tactical command, strategy, and suppress resistance in mere microcycles.

Vortex, onslaughts lieutenant, a master of aerial reconnaissance and interrogation. A feral bot who never questions his commander and captain, he loves the smell of battle, and thus he loves when soundwave sends out commands from his communication hub.

Brawl, a personal attack dog who punches first and thinks second. Brawl's brute force demolition and intimidation are legendary on the field and cause enemies to quiver in their platings.

Swindle, soundwaves con man, a bot who serves soundwave because he knows and reaps the benefits. Soundwaves networking and spy mastery has gotten swindle into some of the greatest profit rearing hauls and markets. He owes soundwave so many shanix.

And lastly, Blastoff, orbital striker and sniper. He is a quiet soul who feels rage on another level. He can understand why soundwave doesn't voice out how he feels. That veil of mystery, is a shield that none can penetrate, and blast off respects him greatly for it.
