In the midst of the forest, the nearest spring was visited daily by a werewolf during summer—a horrifying nightmare for a were-rabbit who also relied on the water source.
Usually the wolf departed after quenching his thirst. However, one day, he opted to linger nearby. The rabbit, parched and cautious, approached with a coconut shell in hand. Alas, the wolf's keen senses detected her presence, and she felt a jolt as his gaze locked onto her. Swiftly, she fled. Was the worst nightmare as the wolf seemed to be claimed the spot as his territory after that day, never leaving except to hunt, seemingly awaiting something.
When the rabbit finally seized a chance to drink from the spring without the wolf's presence, a rustle in the bushes alarmed her. Turning towards it, she discovered the wolf leaping out. Before she could escape, he caught her hand. She pleaded for forgiveness and begged to be released.
However the wolf tilted his head, ears twitching and tail swaying. A paradox to his battle-scarred physique, his smile rendered him remarkably innocent. "Leave before drinking again? Bunny might get thirsty. Why apologize?" His ears drooped, and his expression took on a hint of sadness as he gently stroked the rabbit's wrist with his thumb. "Wolf won't eat beautiful bunny."
