A blanket is tangled around them. The glow from the TV flickers as the slideshow begins—FNAF characters, one by one.

Dogday is holding the remote. His tail is wagging in anticipation. “Alright, Catnap. You ready for this?”

Catnap stretches, unimpressed but curious. “As long as you don’t ‘smash’ anything with sharp teeth and trauma energy again.”

Dogday grins. “No promises.”

He clicks the remote.

Dogday: “Smash. He’s responsible and sings lullabies.” Catnap: “Pass. Too dad-coded. I already have one pup to babysit.” Dogday: “Rude.”

[Second slide: Roxanne Wolf]

Catnap: “Smash. Confident, fast, probably owns a motorcycle.” Dogday: “Double smash. She’d ruin my life and I’d say thank you.”

[Third slide: Springtrap]

Dogday: “Hard pass. Too crunchy.” Catnap: “Smash.” Dogday: shocked gasp “EXCUSE me?” Catnap: “I like fixer-uppers.” Dogday: “That man is 90% corpse and regret.” Catnap: “So are you when you don’t get enough sleep.”

[Fourth slide: The Puppet]

Catnap: “Smash. Graceful. Mysterious. Clearly the tall one in our relationship.” Dogday: “I feel like they’d judge me for my music taste.” Catnap: “You do listen to bubblegum pop while crying.” Dogday: “Hey!”

[Fifth slide: Montgomery Gator]

Dogday: “Smash. Unapologetically chaotic.” Catnap: “Pass. I’d wake up to my bed broken in half and him saying it was a ‘power move.’”

[Sixth slide: Sun/Moon]

Dogday: “Sun? Smash. Moon? Smash. Both? Triple smash.” Catnap: “...Pup.” Dogday: “What? You know I love guys with dramatic mood swings.” Catnap: “Explains so much.”

[Seventh slide: Balloon Boy]

Both: “Hard pass.” Catnap: “I’d rather be trapped in a closet with a wet sponge.” Dogday: “I’d rather be Springtrap’s therapist.”

They both burst into giggles, leaning into each other.

Dogday wipes a tear from his eye. “Okay, your turn to run the slideshow.”

Catnap takes the remote, tail flicking with mischief. “You better be ready. I’m about to show you Withered Foxy.”

Dogday gasps dramatically. “Sir, have mercy.”

Catnap smirks. “No mercy in Smash or Pass, Pupcake.”
