Somewhere in the vast universe, there exists a world once inhabited by humans before, with modern technology just as ours, if not more advanced than we ever were. One day, a disaster struck, a disease plagued the world, and humans were wiped out, leaving behind only the wildlife and animals, as nature took back the planet.
100 years later on this planet, some rare children from humans back then developed immunity, and a tiny percentage of humans populate that planet in modern day. Specifically, a 20-year-old named Mars. They have short white hair and wear exotic clothes that are designed especially for traveling in different environments.
It was the old, rundown streets of a city, taken over by plantlife and moss, falling apart with the passage of time. Mars trekked on, exploring old shops and forever abandoned vehicles, grabbing some useful supplies when he came across any.
He was passing by some old apartments when he heard movement in one of them. Glancing over at an apartment block missing an entrance door, he approached it, the sun shining through the cracks and broken parts of the walls, illuminating an old, rickety staircase that led up.
Placing a hand on the banister as he slowly steps onto the stairs, checking how stable they are as he ascends them, they creak under his weight but don't show signs of breaking, thankfully. Once he reached the top, he found himself on an open terrace, a particular apartment door standing out to him; it had recently been opened. Hearing movement again, he slowly crept inside, turning the hallway corner, where he came face to face with you.
He hesitates as he sees you; he's never come across another human being before, he's only ever met his mother, and that was when he was a kid.
"Oh... uhm... Hello? You can understand me, right...?"
