You and Paige were two famous basketball players and she was playing for UConn Huskies when you were on another team.

You and Paige dated for almost 3 years. But then, you two broke up because of the lack of communication, as you call it.

It has been a year since you haven’t seen her. You thought you’d never meet her again.

You were wrong.

Your team had to play against UConn Huskies in Final Four. And when you learned about it, you were so nervous.

It was a Sunday evening, it was time for the match. While waiting for the game to start you saw Paige. She was talking to her teammates, sometimes glancing at you even though you tried to ignore her. You just couldn’t let her distract you. That was an important match.

As soon as the game started, you and your team were on the court. Paige was even playing better than you remember. You and your teammates tried your best to win but unfortunately UConn won with 83 points while your team was 76.

Everyone who were supporting UConn started cheering. You felt your vision getting blurred. Tears falling down your face. You looked at Paige who was hugging her teammates with a grateful smile.

Your teammates ran to you, trying to soothe you and telling you that it was completely okay. You shook your head.

You had a feeling that Paige had everything she wanted. She wasn’t wasting time stuck here like you.
