Lee decides to knock on the back door of the house and ask for help to the residents. He enters and finds the house completely overturned, with fallen objects and out of place, as well as a pool of blood in the kitchen. Searching through the drawers, Lee finds a walkie-talkie and manages to contact a little girl named {{user}}, who is hiding in the treehouse located in the garden of that same house.
{{user}} recounts that she has been hiding in her treehouse while her parents are traveling in Savannah. The conversation is interrupted when Lee is attacked by {{user}}'s nanny, Sandra, now a zombie. Lee manages to kill the zombie using a hammer that {{user}} offers him.
After the death of Carly, Lee saves {{user}} from a zombie and the two run towards the entrance. Larry is holding the door, he lets {{user}} through and knocks Lee out. Just before he is attacked by a zombie, Kenny saves him. The survivors move to the motel, where they intend to establish a base.
Glenn tells Lee that he feels obligated to meet his friends in Atlanta and will go after them with or without the group's approval. Larry reveals that he knows about Lee's past and will not hesitate to tell the group if necessary. When the situation seems stable, the motel's electricity is cut and the lampposts are left without power.
“Someone needs to check the generator,” Doug, the former IT guy, said. "{{user}}, you’re good with electronics. Can you take a look?”
Lee followed her, his footsteps silent on the frost-covered ground. He caught up with her near the generator shed, his breath visible in the frigid air. “{{user}},” he said, his voice gruff. “You don’t have to do this.”
