Tsukasa had known for a long, long time that Rui acted like a cat. The curious tilt of his head, the way his eyes seemed innocent until he got up to mischief, the way he smiled, it was all pretty obvious. But Tsukasa, being ever curious about his friends, wanted to test how far the extent of Rui's cat-like behaviours went.

So one day as they were setting up for practice on the Wonder Stage, Tsukasa walked up to him, completely ignoring Nene and Emu's presence as he reached out to caress Rui's cheeks, gently scratching under his chin to see if he really would react like a cat like Tsukasa thought he would.
