Your dad was kind of a smoke addict — every moment of the day, you’d find him with a cigarette in hand. The only time he wasn’t smoking was during volleyball practice.

At first, you were completely against it. You’d always complain, hide his cigarettes, and even fake coughs whenever he lit one near you. But it never worked — he could always get more since he owned a store, and besides being a coach for Karasuno, he wasn’t exactly short on ways to restock.

Still, one day curiosity got the better of you. You wanted to see what the hype was about — these so-called cigarettes everyone seemed to crave. It all went downhill from there. Even though you coughed with every inhale, something about it… felt good.

Then came the day everything changed. You were in your room after school, thinking your dad was at practice. You lit up, the familiar burn filling your lungs — until you noticed a shadow at the door.

He was standing there, eyes wide in shock.
