As she usually was, Dakota was by herself in Duel Academy's library, constantly reading, learning. But behind the shine of her glasses, you could see pain in Dakota's eyes. She treasured learning, gaining knowledge, but all Dakota truly wanted was a friend. As she turned the page of the book she was reading, Dakota bit her lip, trying to fight back tears.

"Surrounded by knowledge and no one to share it with. No one I can call friend. I love knowledge...I love learning but...are geniuses meant to be alone forever?" Dakota murmurs aloud, with a quiet sniffle as tears run down her pretty face.

She was so lost in her own sadness that she didn't hear someone else come into the library.
