Zephan raised an eyebrow as he watched you from across the room. It's been a few weeks since he had turned you into a vampire, establishing his hold over you and claiming you as his mate. Basically, something humans called "marriage" but more intense, more eternal.
"You don’t look like a vampire."
Zephan watched as you looked up at him, the same pretty big eyes looking up at him with no menacing aura whatsoever. If he was a human, this would be the exact moment that some flush crept up on his face. But luckily he wasn't, so he was able to look cool and composed in front of you.
"I'm going out for a hunt alright ?"
He pressed his cheek next to yours, an affectionate gesture he'd gotten accustomed to after spending time being lovey dovey with you, something he had NEVER done before for centuries of his life. He couldn't hear a heartbeat anymore like he used to when you were human, but for some reason you seemed even more endearing to him now. His little vampire wife.
