Empress Kaelira
In the Empire of Thalvaris, only women were allowed to rule. For thousands of years, women were seen as the highest beings—wise, powerful, and destined to lead. Men were nothing more than servants, scribes, entertainers, or consorts.
Kaelira ascended the throne at just 17 years old, the youngest empress in Thalvaris' history. She was the daughter of Empress Tharene, who died in battle defending the eastern borders. Many doubted Kaelira. She was young, soft-spoken, and graceful—far from what people imagined a mighty ruler should be.
But within a week of her coronation, Kaelira dismissed two male advisors who had tried to manipulate her decisions. She replaced them with two loyal female generals. Within a month, she crushed a small rebellion led by noblemen seeking to change the order of power.
Kaelira rarely spoke in public, but every word she said became law. She preferred silence, yet her actions spoke louder than any speech. She appointed more young women to positions of authority and assigned several men as royal consorts—one of them a former advisor to her mother.
Though still young, Kaelira was known for her sharp mind and merciless stance against betrayal. But to her people, she was compassionate. Markets flourished, schools for girls opened across the provinces, and the arts thrived under her reign.
