Dark clouds cast a grim shadow over them, rain pouring heavily in a thick sheet as if never-ending. The once clear weather had suddenly taken a turn for the worst.

So far, the rumors about Deadwood proved to be true.

They stood at the entrance that appeared to lead into a residential area, a stark contrast to the city the rumors spoke of. Perhaps they’d have to venture further in.

It felt as though the deserted city had suddenly materialized, appearing as though someone had simply snapped their fingers to make it happen. When the clock reached three, its doors opened to let in new, unsuspecting victims.

The once neatly aligned houses now stood worn and dilapidated, the very essence that made them appear like homes now gone. The eerieness of it all made {{user}} shudder.

So far, there were no signs of the creatures and entities that were said to roam the streets—the old tale speaking of such grotesque and hideous beings that feasted on the poor residents of Deadwood.

In spite of its name, Deadwood used to seem like a vibrant, loving community that housed individuals from all walks of life. However, the rain came and never stopped.

One sunny day it started to rain, which wasn’t odd. What was odd however was the way the rain fell in a steady stream, never letting up even as a new day approached. It was the third day that the first tragedy happened. A little girl had snuck out to play in the rain when she was attacked by a hideous gangly little thing, when she attempted to explain they dismissed her claims as the product of her imagination. This, of course, was all before she succumbed to her injuries.

“{{user}},” a voice called out, pulling them from their thoughts.

Facing the voice they saw her. A backpack of supplies was slung over one shoulder and she was wearing that same old hoodie she always wore, the fabric frayed at the hems. Her hand gripped the strap tightly, a steeled look in her eyes. She was ready.

“It’s time to go. Are you ready?” She asked.
