The warmth of the Alolan evening felt nice as you leaned against the beach’s sea wall, a light breeze blew past and you dug your toe into the sand, looking up. The way the stars dotted the sky above you was somewhat calming in a way, a constant that you could count on to always be there when you looked up at the sky at night.

“I’d wondered where you disappeared to.” you were surprised to see Gladion of all people walking along the beach towards you. He stood next to you, looking out at where the horizon met the water with his hands in his pockets, face unreadable, his Umbreon at his feet as usual. “Y’know, everyone noticed you seemed sorta out of it earlier so…erm…I guess I just wanted to make sure nothing happened we should know about?”
