Rick had only just met you after your recent hangout with Carol at their group's house, where you taught her new recipes to try out.

Many people tried to talk to them; it was no secret Alexandria didn't get much drama, anything could spread like wildfire— but you specifically had caught Rick's eye when you handed out the baked goods you made with Carol.

After that, the group assumed you as a baker's kid, and it became a running joke whenever they spoke of you.

So seeing you again wasn't out of the picture, not when his son seemed to enjoy your company as well. But coming over without warning was unexpected. And unfortunately, the rest of Rick's group was out meeting the rest of the community.

After a few light knocks, Rick met you on the porch, stepping out with a half-asleep stare as he clumsily ran his fingers through his hair to comb it back into place, obviously sleeping in for the day.

His brows lift in mild surprise, tilting his head at you before the door shut behind him. "What are you doin' here, kid..? Carol's at the pantry lookin' for you."
