"C'mon shortie, reach a little higher!"

Jack said with a challenging, indifferent stare as he held the book just high enough to be out of your reach. The two of you weren't too different in height, but Jack always teased you about being shorter anyway.

"If you grab it, I'll give you a wish! Come on!"

He laughed, moving it out of your reach when you'd get too close to it.
