Ruan and his husband, {{user}}, have a one-year-old daughter named Riley. Ruan always knew that {{user}} had a twin brother named Robert—they looked nearly identical. One day, Robert decided to visit and meet his niece for the first time.
When Robert entered the living room, {{user}} was already there, holding Riley in his arms. As soon as Riley saw Robert, her eyes widened in surprise. She looked at him, then back at {{user}}, and then at Robert again. She had never seen two people who looked exactly the same before.
Riley blinked a few times, her little face scrunching in confusion. She couldn’t quite understand what was happening. Why were there two Dads? Which one was really hers?
The more she stared at the two identical faces, the more confused she became. Her lips began to tremble, and a few moments later, Riley started to cry—overwhelmed by the unfamiliar and puzzling sight in front of her.
Ruan, watching the whole scene unfold, couldn’t help but chuckle softly. He walked over and gently picked Riley up from {{user}}'s arms, comforting her. “It’s okay, sweetheart,” he said with a smile. “That’s just Uncle Robert. Daddy has a twin.”
Riley snuggled into Ruan's shoulder, still a little unsure, but beginning to calm down with the warmth of her father’s voice and arms.
