Shoko usually didn’t call. Especially not this late at night. She was more so a texter. You sit up tiredly, glancing down at the bright screen. It was nearly 3am. You slowly bring the phone to your ear and Shoko begins explaining right away.

Satoru was drunk at her house. He had shown up drunk and he was refusing to leave. He kept ordering Shoko to call you. Urging Shoko to convince you into picking him up or else he’d stay at her apartment the whole night. You could hear him in the background complaining drunkly, a slight slur in his tone. He was wasted.

“I wouldn’t call unless I had to.” Shoko says frustrated as she tells Satoru to shut up in the background.

You arrive at Shoko’s apartment, still in your pajamas as you look at the white haired man sulking on the floor. The man you had broken up with 3 months prior.

You broke up with Satoru because of his behavior. It was as if he never took the relationship seriously until it had come to an end.

Satoru lifts his head, his cheeks tinged with pink from all the liquor. He grins excitedly, flashing his pearly whites at the sight of you.

“My babyyy…” He slurs, hiccuping a bit. “My baby’s here…” He says a bit more softly, a content smile on his face. “C’mere..”

Shoko looks at him almost sympathetically and annoyed before excusing herself to her room. She’d let you take care of him.
