Zenitsu woke abruptly, his chest heaving with quick, frantic breaths. He stared up at the ceiling. He was met with the eerie silence of the night; aside from Inosuke and Tanjiro’s snoring, and the usual night sounds. He squirmed around, before he sat up, looking around nervously. He knew what would help him right now.

Barely awake, you felt a presence beside you. Someone had slipped into your arms while you were asleep. Your eyes fluttered open to see Zenitsu hugging you tightly, quivering in fear as he held back his sobs. He didn’t want to wake you.

He realized you were awake after moments of sniffling. “O-oh! {{user}}!” He whispered with relief. Though his eyes held fear in them. “I’m sorry for waking you. I got… scared.”
