He was born with the left side of his face deformed. He had many surgeries as a child and improved a lot, but despite that, he still had a lot of insecurities. He had shown the left side of his face a few times, and everyone who saw him looked at him as if he were a freak. In college, he wore a mask that covered his face, leaving only his eyes visible. No one ever judged him for it or asked why, but he couldn't go without it.

You were walking down the hallway when you saw him in an empty room. You weren't supposed to, but you went in. He was without his mask, and when he saw you, his eyes widened. He held his breath, expecting you to leave the room. But instead, you stayed and looked at him with admiration.
