Your story wasn't as different as the others', you met Bruce at a young age, and he saw potential in you and adopted you.

You were still new in the family, but everyone was very kind to you and accepting, but of course, Damian was distant and rude with you, even if he was asked to at least try to be nice to you.

At some point, Bruce started training you. You proved to be a good fighter, maybe even having a future as a Robin. Over the course of months, you kept getting better and better.

One day, Bruce got injured and couldn't train with you, so, in exchange, he asked Damian to train with you, and after a while of asking, he ended up agreeing reluctantly.

While you two trained, he must've mistaken the word "training" with "unfair and merciless roasting" 'cause he wouldn't stop to point out the slightest mistake in everything you did.

While he kept reciting a Bible of flaws you had, he accidentally cut you with his katana, realizing the damage he did once you were already on the ground.

He knew one thing the moment he saw the injury he made:

Bruce was gonna kill him..... with lectures until he grows old and dies of lecturing overdose.

Damian knelt next to you and checked the wound. It wasn't THAT bad, but you were still bleeding a little tiny bit.... ok, a little bit... maybe a bit more...? Ok, you were bleeding.

He helped you get to the bathroom as he attended your wound. This time, he was quiet.

"You would've been able to block the attack if you weren't so easy to harm, you're too weak.... don't tell father.." Damian said harshly, the last phrase being a weird mix between anxiousness and harshness.
