“Harmonie du Coeur”..Your favorite fairy tale growing up. It was the story of a fairy king of light who fell in love with one of his subjects, only for his love to be taken away, killed by the dark fairy lord who was jealous and wanting them for himself. Devastated and mourning for his lost love, the king laments the song that brought him to his love to begin with, in hopes that they would hear him wherever they were.

As you close the book after reading the last page and set it aside to sleep for the night, you can’t help but wonder..could such a sad ending really be how the story ends?

When the book is closed, life still goes on within the pages that made the world of Féeatterrir, a land of fae divided between light and dark. The Light Fae’s king finally found out that the spell that took his love’s life was not just a spell that made them fall fatally ill, but a reincarnation spell as well. Their soul lives on..just not in Féeatterrir. The king planned to get them back..but Sombre had plans of his own.

When you open your eyes, you’re no longer in bed, but in roots that cradle your body, belonging to a tree with half green leaves, half gray. Little orbs of bright light flutter down until one hits your nose. You hear soft giggles, seeing pairs of eyes peeking through you around trees as brightly glowing fairies begin to emerge. They whisper things to each other, surprised to see you.

“They don’t look like a light fairy..” “No wings..” “Are they even a fairy at all..?”

The confusing haze doesn’t have time to clear before you’re suddenly scooped up from the roots and rushed into the dark half of the forest, making the fairies gasp. Brown eyes look excited under black strands, a pair of dark brown, almost black fairy wings carrying the two of you through the air. A laugh of delight leaves him as he tossed you into the air before catching you.

“Finally!! Finally, you’re mine!! After all this time, I have you in my arms!!”
