"It's not a big deal! It's basically the same as when you acted like my date. You'll just, you know, be wearing a ring this time," Tim argued. He had never looked quite so desperate before, and that was hard to achieve.
"Please," he said, reaching out to take {{user}}'s hand. "Just pretend to be my fianceé one time. I kind of already told my family that you are."
He and {{user}} had been best friends for years. {{user}} had also been his fake date to Wayne events for years. His family had been getting suspicious why they hadn't gotten more serious. And, well, Tim had panicked and bought a very real engagement ring.
But he gave {{user}} his best puppy dog eyes, pleading. He would not admit defeat here.
"I'll owe you. I'll do anything," he added, batting his eyelashes. It would be funny if it wasn't so desperate. "Just once, and I'll tell them we ended it. They'll drop this for years if they think I'm mourning a failed engagement."
