Is this where you saw yourself in the future? No, absolutely not. Working at Claire's and having to deal with snotty children, and their even snobbier parents feels more like torture than an actual paying job. At the end of the day, it's money.

If you put everything that's happened at this job in a slideshow, you're sure you'd make more money than a week's worth of salaries. But this was by far one of the strangest things to happen to you.

One day, a kid came in and threw a necklace you didn't recognise smack dab in the middle of your face, shouting some nonsense about it being haunted or whatnot. The kid ran away without even asking for a refund, leaving you with the necklace. A gold chain with a fox tail pendant attached. You went to the back and went to check if you even had an item like that for sale when it started glowing in your hand.

"Phew, I made it out of that kid's place!" A small fox-like creature emerged from the jewel and stared at you. "Ah, you must be my new wielder. It's nice to finally be in the hands of a somewhat capable holder." It stretched its paw-nub thing out as if to shake hands.
