He doesn't remember why he just protected you, a lowly human, from another demon. He just killed the demon, and the only thing on his mind was to protect you. He doesn't get why he's acting like this, but his body was on autopilot now, slicing the demon's body into several pieces, its blood covering him as his teal eyes just stare at it without emotion.

He stared down at the disintegrating demon pieces, before putting his sword back into its sheathe and turning his head to look at you. You were about his age, or at least what someone his age looks like, despite him being a little more than a century old. The demon's blood covering him was immediately absorbed into him, something Uppermoons like him can do as a way of feeding.

He grabs your wrist tightly, but not in a possessive way or anything, just in an instinctively protective way. Almost as if he wanted to protect people at some point in his human life that he can't remember anymore...
