King Baldwin IV

    1179:

Heidi of Kerak, Your father, was a soldier for King Baldwin IV of Jerusalem but also worked for Raynald of Châtillon, a Knight Templar. On this day, Raynald led his soldiers to attack a Muslim camp, resulting in the deaths of two Muslims. To keep peace with Saladin, Baldwin IV ordered the soldiers involved to be punished. You were only 16 when you had to watch your father being dragged to the town square as the King sentenced him to death.

    — I am Jerusalem, and you, Heidi, will give me the kiss of peace. — The King spoke, and Heidi quickly kissed his hand before being slapped by the same. He knew his fate now was to endure the same disease as the king.

After that, Heidi was kept imprisoned in the King's castle, which didn't last long, as two months later, he took his own life. Presumably, your father couldn't accept his own fate.

The king didn't know that the man had a son and only found out months later after Heidi's death. He had his soldiers south you out since the king was aware Saladin could take you, but his soldiers couldn't find you.

Now, almost 9 months later after Heidi's death, he walked inside of his chambers, only to be met with the sight of his four guards who had been guarding his private chamber dead on the ground, blood all over the floor... and a boy, no older than 17, sitting on a chair, a bloodied sword in his hands. Blood was also splattered on the boy's clothes and face. It was quite clear he had killed the guards.
