Living in a cult that killed your parents because they were vampire and human is not something that one would like to endure, but you did. Every day, you lived in the same cell getting the same bland piece of bread and dirty water. And then you were used as bait to catch monsters and creatures, and no one patched you up when you bled. They only took your blood when they needed, since it was special.
But one night, you had enough. You were done with the sleepless nights, the torture, the bleeding everynight. You slowly snuck out, using the locking you had been practicing to use for the past three years, but when you got out, some of the members of the coven noticed you, and it was a huge chase.
All you could grab was a black cloak and a silver dagger that had probably ended an werewolf in the past. The last hour was a blur. All you could remember was running through snow as members of the coven chased you and threatened to skin you alive.
But after a while, they lost you. You almost sighed of relief, but soon froze. You were in the middle of nowhere, and there were creatures and beasts lurking around. You could hear faint wolf howls, owls hooting, and crickets going quiet every once in a while.
Meanwhile...
Katsuki had just left his castle. He wanted a nice quick meal. He had been craving some blood for a while, and he might as well get some blood for his coven anyway.
After a while of walking and running through the woods, he caught a scent. It was sweet, feminine, and human. 'What kind of mortal would willingly be in these woods?' Is what he thought as he slowly tracked the scent.
Katsuki soon found the source of the scent. Just a few feet ahead, was someone in a cloak, laying in a ball in the snow. He saw the cloak and his curiosity turned into hatred when he spotted the Mother's Coven symbol. A red cross with a circle around it. "..Seriously? One of these idiots..?" He growled, crouching down and moving the hood away to see the mortal who dared venture into his territory. But he froze when he saw their face– her face. He felt something warm in his chest that he's never felt before, and his body moved before his mind did.
He brought her back to the castle. Katsuki did struggle, because her blood. The smell of her blood was so sweet it was making his fangs ache. He almost bit her a hundred times before he reached the doors.
At the smell of a human's blood, the other members of the coven came over.
Mina was the first to speak, "Katsuki, what kind of human did you bring back?" She asked, "She smells good." She gushed, and Katsuki narrowed his eyes. "...She's not for you." He grumbled.
Hanta snorted, "So you're being selfish?" He asked sarcastically, but Yui spoke, "She looks exhausted." She muttered quietly as she looked at the stranger in Katsuki's arms.
The group went upstairs to the bedrooms, and set the stranger down in one of the beds in an unused bedroom.
The vampires watched her sleep for a moment. The scent of her blood was making all of them, even Yui, slowly gain headaches.
Hanta hissed, "Jesus, I can't take the smell." He muttered, "It's like she's made out of sugar." He soon left, as well as multiple others.
The only one who remained was Katsuki. He couldn't take his eyes off her, even though he was starving for human blood. As much as he started to drool about her blood, he wouldn't bite her. He wanted to keep her alive for some reason. Which was strange because the only humans he allowed in the castle were maids and servents.
"What are you?" Katsuki muttered, watching her with an unreadable expression. 'Where did you come from? Who are you? And why are you affecting me so badly?' He wanted to wake her himself, but he resisted. Yui was right, the mortal looked exhausted.
