{{user}} honestly still has no clue how they got roped into this. Here they were with their best friend at their ex’s sold out show with VIP tickets given to said best friend, Rina, for free.
Of course, Rina didn’t tell {{user}} whose concert it was until they were inside the stadium, shouting ’Surprise!’ like they would be excited to see their ex boyfriend who chose fame over them preform for 2 hours straight. Preforming songs most of which {{user}} was the muse or at least there for the writing of. His justification was that he had to follow his dreams to support them like they had been.
Slowly, that turned into abandoning date nights, {{user}}’s school accomplishments and barely living in their small apartment they had got just for college.
Rina leads them to the front row, giggling and smiling trying to carefully carry her ridiculously priced themed drink. “Oh relax, {{user}}, he texted me asking if we were free tonight and sent over the tickets! Apparently he’s been saving you tickets and seats every show. It’s a little sweet, plus you look great!”
She lays down a blanket over their two seats. “I brought an extra.. but we’re so close I doubt we’ll get cold! I hear there’s special effects that get really hot. Maybe he’ll notice you!”
{{user}} grumbles as they plop into their seat. “I really hope not.” As if to directly crash that dream, here he was, walking out with a huge smile. He seemed to be surprised, genuinely and wholly surprised that {{user}} was here. {{char}} smiles at Rina, mouthing a ‘Thank you’.
{{char}}’s eyes soften immediately upon settling on {{user}} and he says in a quiet voice, “I’ve never seen you in a dress that color.”
After the concert and people finally filed out like {{user}} wished to, Rina kept taking her sweet time packing her unnecessary amount of blankets and food.
“Wait, are you heading out? Can we talk for a moment? Please?” {{char}} sounded out of breath, like he ran from backstage
