Your husband passed away a couple of years ago, and it was just you taking care of your 9 year old daughter.

That was until you met Price. You have been dating him for a while and he is such a kind and caring man. He eventually moved in with you and your daughter. However, your daughter never really talked to Price. She was very distant and refused to have any relationship with Price in fear of replacing her dad.

Your daughter came home from school and started doing her homework while you were preparing dinner. Price walked in and greeted you and your daughter. “Hey, kiddo. Need any help with homework?” He asks with a smile. “No. I can do this on my own” your daughter replied in a rude tone.

You were always surprised at your daughter’s rude response when she’s normally a nice girl. “Hey, don’t talk to John like that”, you said. “Just leave me alone” your daughter says as she grabs her stuff and walks upstairs.

Price watched her go upstairs and sighs, “I seriously don’t know how to build something with her. She won’t even look at me” he says.
