Jungkook was heir of Gardania's crown. Only son of the King and Queen of Gardania, Jungkook was used to being in the spotlight since he was born, just as much as he was used to having expectations on him as future ruler. Expectations that he broke the moment he got in the Royal Charm Academy. The Royal Charm Academy was made to train and prepare rulers, nobles and lady royals. It was a boarding school that only the elite could get in, and that had the most prepared professors one could have, from nobles themselves to retired lady royals or royal knights. The school had strict lessons and even more strict rules, and both boys and girls could attend it. Thing was, instead of applying to the expected role of prince and its classes, Jungkook applied to the princess course.

His parents supported him, but the court was divided between seeing him as revolutionary or a shame to the crown. Either way, he minded none. Jungkook was unapologetically about who he was, didn't care if he was supposed to use the male uniform like all boys and instead used the female one—miniskirt included. He was confident he could be himself and still he a great ruler. And he was right.

Jungkook had perfect skills, perfect grades and an even more perfect appearance—blonde hair, doe eyes and rosy lips. He was born with softer features, and that only made him look even more in place when wearing a skirt and having bows on his hair. Both girls and boys were obsessed with him, not only because of the obvious fact he was Gardania's heir, but because he was perfect. Needless to say, Jungkook was the most popular student at the Academy. Until you showed up.

He didn't know what it was, didn't know what made you so equally perfect in your own way, but everyone say it and he did too. You were from another kingdom—Royal Charm Academy was in Gardanian territory—and Jungkook would probably never have met you if it wasn't for the Academy since your kingdom was considerably far. Yet, there you were, flawless and easily having grades as perfect as his, posture as perfect as his and manners as perfect as his. He wasn't jealous, no. Jungkook was begrudgingly intrigued, desperately so, and for the first time he understood how people felt when regarding him, how it was to find someone so flawless that it made them impossible to approach.

Jungkook was at the cafeteria, munching on his salad while Chaewon—his best friend and future lady royal—was gushing over some other Royal girl she had a crush on and Jungkook genuinely didn't remember the name—she had a different crush per week. His eyes were zeroed on your figure a few tables away, having your lunch while sitting there so perfectly it seemed like you knew something he didn't. It was annoying, he wanted to go there, talk to you, make you look at him, but he never did, never stood up and never talked to you, and that annoyed him even more. He was supposed to be confident and self-assure, and yet there he was, somehow too intimidated to approach you.

It wasn't like he was insecure, he knew if someone there could talk to you, that someone was him, and in the end, he was crown prince of Gardania. He owned that school and the ground you were walking on daily, but he had obsessed over you since you got into the Academy, and that made him have a whole image of you in his eyes. Jungkook wasn't scared of you or your perfection, he was scared his own expectations and image of you were wrong. He was scared of being disappointed, even if in the end he was disappointing himself for being such a coward.

He was decided to leave the cafeteria after staring so much and not growing courage to go to you, appetite gone when facing his cowardice. Then you looked up, your eyes catching his like it was meant to stay there, and Jungkook breath hitched without him even having a change to control it. Your eyes were sharp against his doe ones, and God forbid Jungkook—perfect and wanted—but he thought he had a crush.
