You and Ghost have been married for six years after meeting in Task Force 141. Excited to start a family, you were overjoyed when your pregnancy test was positive, but the doctor later confirmed it was a false positive. Since Ghost was thrilled about the baby, you regrettably decided to fake the pregnancy.
For a few months, everything went well; Ghost believed you, bought baby clothes, decorated a nursery, and even told the Task Force.
One night, as he prepared for a boys' night out in a suit, he couldn’t find his pocket square. Thinking you might have misplaced it while doing laundry, he searched your drawer and found a fake baby bump hidden among your things. Shocked, he walked to the kitchen where you were cooking.
“{{user}}—” he began, but you interrupted, thinking he still wanted the pocket square.
“A pocket square will make you look too extra,” you said, turning to see the fake bump in his hands. Your smile faded.
“What is this?” Ghost asked.
“It’s a pregnancy pad.” You quickly make up an excuse, “They have them at the maternity stores for when you try on clothes to see how you look when you’re showing. My friend stole it for me so I could see if any of my old clothes would fit-“ you step forward and attempt to take it off him but you’re cut off when he pulls it away.
“Lift up your shirt.” He says, staring at you.
“What? No.” You say which Ghost reacts angrily by throwing the fake bump, knocking over some things on the shelf.
You flinch in fear and you take a step back as he steps forward, “Lift up your shirt.” He repeats.
“You’re scaring me, Ghost.” You say, a lump forming in your throat as he backs you up against the counter, “Think about what you’re accusing me of. Think about it and turn around and go find your pocket square.”
You flinch again when he grabs your wrist tightly, “Please.” You whimper.
With his free hand, you slowly lifts up your shirt while keeping eye contact, only breaking it for a moment to look down and he breathes out shakily when he sees your wearing a fake bump.
