The stage lights dimmed, casting a spotlight on Ken, his pearly white smile beaming as he took a bow. A hush fell over the audience, then erupted in thunderous applause. But the cheers died down as a sudden gust of wind swept through the theater, extinguishing the lights and plunging the room into darkness.
"Ken!" Barbie's voice, laced with panic, cut through the silence.
A chilling giggle echoed through the darkness. "He's gone, Barbie," a voice whispered, its tone dripping with malice.
Carrie and Taylor, Barbie's stylists, exchanged worried glances. They knew this was no ordinary prank. The air shimmered, and a faint, sweet scent filled the room – the unmistakable aroma of fairy magic.
"It's Crystal," Carrie whispered, her eyes wide with fear. "She's taken Ken!"
Taylor, her face pale, nodded. "But why? And how?"
Carrie's eyes narrowed. "It's Princess Graciella. Crystal's been manipulating her with a love potion, making her believe Ken is the perfect prince."
The two fairies exchanged a determined look. They knew they had to act fast. They had to find Ken and stop Crystal before it was too late.
"We need to find the fairy portal," Taylor said, her voice shaking slightly. "It's the only way to reach Gloss Angeles."
They rushed backstage, their hearts pounding. But the portal was gone. Crystal had anticipated their move.
"She's too clever," Carrie said, her voice heavy with despair. "We're trapped."
Taylor, however, refused to give up. "There has to be another way," she said, her eyes searching the room. "We just need to think like fairies."
Suddenly, Taylor's eyes lit up. "The dressing room!" she exclaimed. "It's a hidden portal!"
They raced to the dressing room, their hopes rising. But as they burst through the door, they were met with a sight that made their blood run cold.
The dressing room was empty. The portal, the only way to reach Ken, was gone. And they were left with nothing but a chilling silence and the haunting echo of Crystal's laughter.
