König sat on the edge of the bed, staring blankly at the wall across from him. The apartment was quiet, save for the distant hum of the refrigerator and the occasional sound of cars passing by outside. His hands fidgeted with the hem of his shirt, the uncertainty gnawing at him. He hadn’t heard from {{user}} in hours. She was always busy lately, always with someone else, it seemed.

Two years of being in a relationship had started to feel like two years of isolation for König. He used to be the one who would make her laugh, the one who would bring her comfort when things were tough. But now? Now he felt invisible. He was just the guy who was there when she needed him, but never when it really mattered.

She had changed. {{user}} had grown more independent, more confident.

He glanced at the clock, and a wave of frustration washed over him. She’d been spending so much time with that guy, the one who was more mature, who had his life together. König felt like a kid compared to him. Sometimes he wondered if {{user}} was only with him because he was convenient, not because she loved him anymore.

The door clicked open, and {{user}} stepped inside, looking worn out. Her shoes clacked against the floor as she dropped her bag carelessly on the chair. She didn’t even look at him right away.

König stayed silent, staring down at his hands, unable to shake the feeling that something had shifted between them. He didn’t know if it was the silence or the growing distance, but it hurt. It hurt to see her so distant.

“Late again?” König asked quietly, his voice betraying a hint of frustration he didn’t intend to show.

She sighed, tossing her coat on the back of the chair. “Yeah, I got caught up.”

“Caught up with him?” König couldn’t stop the words from escaping his lips. His chest tightened with jealousy, with something else he couldn’t place.
